Zach brings more than seven years of Beemer experience to Motoworks from BMW of Marin and Chicago BMW. Steve and Zach are certified BMW techs, and are both graduates of the American Motorcycle Institutes BMW program. We have factory trained, certified Vespa technicians on staff, and use OEM Vespa and Piaggio parts. With over 16 million units sold worldwide since 1946, Vespa has developed quite a reputation for durability and reliability. It's no surprise that we also provide the best support when it comes time to service and maintain your Vespa throughout its lifetime. Motoworks Chicago are trained scooter specialists – We are there for you when it comes time for service, maintenance, or if you simply want to customize your Vespa with our broad selection of genuine Vespa accessories. With the proper care and maintenance at regular intervals, don't be surprised several decades later how well your Vespa runs. And don't be surprised if your Vespa is even more loved and admired as the years go by. We also work on other high quality brands of scooters, such as Honda, Yamaha and Kymco. These brands are reputable, and most importantly we can get parts for them. We do not service Chinese scooters. Please don't take this personally if you own a Chinese scoot. We don't dislike you, and we aren't mad at you for buying a Chinese scooter, we have worked on Chinese scooters for years, and we just can't do it anymore. We are professionals, as such we take great pride in our work, and we demand success. Due to the extremely poor quality of Chinese scooters, and the lack of parts availibility, we can't do the quality of work that our customers have come to expect from us on Chinese scooters.
Japanese Cycle Service The current demand for our services on Hinckley Triumph's, BMW Motorcycles, and Vespa, Piaggio, and Kymco scooters have pushed our service department to our limits. In order to do the best job possible servicing what we sell we are no longer able to work on Japanese bikes with the exception of some Japenese scooters. If you need a referral for a good shop please email or call us and we will do our best to help you find service.
Scooter and Motorcycle Transport (Towing) We understand that not everyone has access to a method of transportation for their motorcycle or scooter. Motoworks Chicago always refers customers to Tracy at TMC. He is usually available for same day pickup and offers flat rates to city customers. Tracy also has absolutely no problem picking up in the suburbs and surrounding areas. He owns his own enclosed trailer and has great deals for multiple bikes being moved. Vintage Vespa Unfortunately Piaggio USA does not support us for parts on the vintage and classic scooters, so we are unable to work on them. We do know a couple of local experts that we would be happy to refer you to. Please email us for more information if you require vintage/classic Vespa service and need assistance.
Chinese Scooters: Motoworks Chicago cannot work on Chinese scooters. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. History has proven that even after following the appropriate service and or storage steps some Chinese brand scooters will not run after storage periods for no clear reasons. It is because of this that we can not guarantee the scooter to be in good working order when it leaves here. If we can not guarantee our work, we won't do it.
Vintage Triumph
Triumph USA does not support us for parts on vintage Triumph motorcycles, thus we are unable to work on them. We do know a couple of local shops that work on the classics, and encourage you to contact us with the specific details of the job so that we can help you find the right shop to take care of your needs.
